This International Women’s Month, we will be donating £1 from every order on www.bluebella.com to help homeless women into skilled work.
Here at Bluebella our driving ethos is to celebrate every woman, and we are proud to make lingerie and create campaigns that empower women through challenging industry norms. However, we are also really mindful that in many cases there are more urgent needs to be met, with numerous women struggling with unemployment and homelessness.
This International Women’s Month we are proud to team up with Beam. Beam is a crowdfunding platform where homeless men and women can fundraise for new career opportunities and be supported into skilled work. With endless love for our home city of London, it felt right for Bluebella to team up with an organisation helping homeless Londoners find their feet.
Recently named Hottest Tech for Good Start-up in Europe, Beam is a world first, funding almost 200 training opportunities since launching in 2017. Beam is a long-term solution to homelessness, enabling people to support themselves and their families.
“People can now directly fund training for a homeless person and also send uplifting messages of support that are just as important as the donations and transform how people see themselves.”
Alex Stephany, Founder and CEO of Beam
Many of the women helped by Beam are living in refuges and coping with the aftermath of domestic abuse. Moving towards financial independence is not only a necessity but a hugely important part of healing and empowering these women, and so for every order placed on www.bluebella.com during International Women’s Month we will donate £1 to the ladies fundraising for their futures on Beam.
